Parental Opt-Out Assistance

CFC helps California parents exercise their legal right to opt their children out of school content that conflicts with their family's values.

Your rights are protected by law. Under California Education Code §§ 51930–51939 and the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Mahmoud v. Taylor (June 2025), schools must honor written opt-out requests. Schools cannot penalize students for exercising this right.
