Seth Dillon runs the most trusted name in fake news. As CEO of The Babylon Bee, he has built one of the most-read satire sites on the internet by saying out loud what everyone is thinking, then watching the headlines come true a few weeks later.
Underneath the jokes is a deadly serious idea: a culture that can no longer laugh at itself is a culture that has stopped telling the truth. The Bee's comedy defends the very things California Family Council fights for every day. The sanctity of life, the God-given design of the family, and the freedom to speak the truth without asking the government's permission.
He has taken on tech censors, humorless bureaucrats, and the state of California itself, and kept his sense of humor through all of it. Come hear how laughter became one of the last, best weapons in the fight for life, family, and liberty. You'll leave encouraged, and probably quoting him for weeks.
When California tried to outlaw political satire, Seth Dillon didn’t laugh it off. He fought back. The Babylon Bee was a plaintiff challenging AB 2839, Sacramento’s 2024 law that would have forced political memes and satire to carry disclaimers big enough to drown out the joke. In 2025, Judge John A. Mendez struck it down as an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment, writing that “just as the government may not dictate the canon of comedy, California cannot pre-emptively sterilize political content.”
